To clarify, Roon DOES support NUC6 (and even NUC5!) boxes, as noted in the official support list:
- NUC5i3XXX
- NUC5i5XXX
- NUC6i3XXX
- NUC6i5XXX
But they are “Core” versions, which are all pricey for just an endpoint. The special deal here is being able to use the Celeron based NUC6CAYH, which is less than half the price of the Core models. For just endpoint duties, one might expect less than 4GB RAM would be okay, but we don’t know (did you try 2GB, Michael?). And certainly with no database, I’d guess 32 GB is adequate storage. I’d like to see whether just a 32GB microSD will suffice for the storage. This suggests it was on a “to do” list about 10 months ago…
