Other options I want to report a metadata issue
Roon will not connect to my Tidal account. Tidal works independently on its own. Tried rebooting Roon core twice but problem persists. Will appreciate any advice.

What type of Roon server are you using?

Thanks. Can you tell us which Sonic Transporter software version?
I guess you might be experiencing the issue explained here:
On March 6, 2024 Roon released version 2.0.30 which included build 1382 of Roon Server. In the day following the release our support team received reports of connectivity issues from a very small subset of the Roon user community. Upon investigation it was discovered that a small, maintenance-focused change in Roon was resulting in some devices being unable to establish a connection with Roon’s cloud services as well as the cloud services of our streaming partners (TIDAL, Qobuz, and KKBOX). Due …
More technical information including manual workarounds is included in this thread:
Hello All,
Thank you for your patience here as we have been looking into this issue.
We have determined that out-of-date components on some very old operating systems running Roon Server were preventing connectivity to Roon’s cloud infrastructure, as well as our streaming partners. We have listed a procedure below to manually override this connectivity behavior, and restore your Roon functionality. Please note that you will only need to do this procedure once and the change will be retained.

And there are other SonicTransporter users in this thread who apparently were affected by this with older SonicTransporter installations:
Me too. Using an older sonictransporter running version 2.5 software and Roon server version 2.0 (1382). When trying to connect to Qobuz in Roon I get the below pic. All internet connections including using Qobuz.app work just fine.

… and fixed it like this …
UPDATE - I “fixed” this by uninstalling Roon on my music server (Sonictransporter I5 from Small Green Computers); reinstalling it; and rebooting my music server. However, I then had to reattach all my playback devices and external music storage devices. Not fun, but it worked. And I was able to then connect to my Tidal account.
Also take a look at this new help article for this issue:
If you’re currently running Roon Server on a music server (other than Nucleus or ROCK), older Linux distribution, or NAS device, and are having trouble with any or all of the following: Logging into Roon Problems with search Problems adding new media...
My sonicTransporter s/w version is 2.7.
Thank you so much Suedkiez for the links to the issues faced by other sonicTransporter users. I will look through them.

Just as a follow up to the thread. I was using 2.5 on my sonicTransporter and Roon wasn’t working after the update. I updated to 2.8 but it still wasn’t working so I deleted Roon Server off of my sonicTransporter and re-installed it. Once everything restarted all was working again.

Hi @Kim_Kong_Yong ,
Thanks for reporting this issue to us. I agree with @Suedkiez about this likely being the same issue. Let us know any if the workarounds resolve your problem. Also you can try contacting Small Green Computer from the contact link on their website. https://www.smallgreencomputer.com/

That’s great! Thanks for the info David. I will try that.
Yes good advice. I will do that. Thanks Daniel!
Contacted Small Green Computer and Andrew from SGC advised to upgrade to ver 2.8 and that fixed the problem. Tidal + Roon connection is ok now. Didn’t need to uninstall/re-install Roon.
Thanks all!
