KEF LSX ii not showing as roon ready

Hi all. I’m hoping someone might have had a similar experience to this and be able to offer some advice.

I have two pairs of KEF LSX ii speakers, connected to my network by wifi. At some point in the last couple of weeks the ‘roon ready’ option for connecting them to my roon server has disappeared. They still show up as ‘roon tested’ and I can connect to the server via chromecast and airplay.

Has anyone noticed anything similar since the recent firmware update to the KEFs or recent roon updates?

To complicate troubleshooting, I’ve recently changed my roon server from a ROCK system to a windows server.

Any thoughts before I open a support ticket? I have tried rebooting everything on the network, by the way.

This happened here in an older thread and may have been a network issue, and the wifi tin his device does not seem to be great, so check that your wifi coverage is OK. (Wifi quality can change on its own for no immediately obvious reason). It would be good to temporarily try a network cable to see if this changes anything

Thanks for the response. I should have clarified that I did try a network cable with one set of the speakers but it didn’t make a difference.

OK. the other thing is that apparently the recent KEF update had lots of issues, but I haven’t found a report with the same issue.

I’ve not this problem with the KEF, but some people with other devices.

Mostly the cause is, that they are not on the newest Roon version and don’t had the latest firmware update for the devices.

If this isn’t the case here, I would reset the KEFs and/or (after backup) delete the Roon database.

Thanks. A factory reset seems to have done the trick. Both sets of speakers are back up and running, and roon ready.
