Hi @mitchell_lim ,
Can you let me know the model/manufacturer of the SSD installed in your setup? In the previous threads I could find referencing this issue, it seemed to be due to the SSD model:
Install rock on a ssd but after reboot I’m getting a kernel panic:
…
mount: can’t read ‘etc/fstab’: No such file or directory
mount: mounting /overlay/boot/roonos-1/rootfs.img on overlay/ro failed: No such file or directory
…
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! exitcode=0x00000100
Hardware:
ssd: intel ssdpekkw128g7
Nuc: nuc5i3ryk
Memory: 8Gb
Windows 10 was preinstalled on the nuc.
The image I flashed is: roonbox-linuxx64-nuc3-usb-factoryreset.img.gz
What should be don…
My NUC5i5RYK reports a kernel panic rebooting after ROCK installation up until ‘RoonOS install is complete! Please Remove your USB installer and hit ENTER to reboot’.
See the kernel panic screenshot below.
As far as I know I have succesfully completed all steps prior to the kernel panic message:
downloaded BIOS file (RY0366.bio)
updated BIOS
configured BIOS for ROCK
downloaded ROCK (roonbox-linuxx64-nuc3-usb-factoryreset.img.gz)
unzipped file (roonbox-linuxx64-nuc3-usb-factoryreset.img)
form…
Also, do you mind posting a clearer screenshot? It’s a bit hard to make out the exact error message in that screenshot.
