Linn Devices only showing up as AirPlay with QNAP Core after updating to build 1148 [Update Roon to Build 1154 (Linux Release Only)]

Good day
When do you actually intend to repair the defect you caused yourself? My Linn via Qnap worked flawlessly under Roon and now?
Your program costs me money every day - do Linn users get a credit?
The situation has lasted for a few days.
I can’t enjoy any music at the moment because I’m fully committed to Roon.

Many thanks to you and Greg for your help. I am now up and running and playing music through my Linn on the subnet. I am currently restoring my last backup so all my data is up to date. No having any knowledge of Linux, I thought this might be a bit daunting, but I got there in the end. If anyone else is considering doing this, I would recommend you follow the instruction from @droogstore and @gTunes to the letter. This was my downfall not checking every setting was correct before creating Roon in the container. Thanks again guys.

I don’t understand how to set up the shared folders in the Docker container, you (@droogstore) showed in the screen grab. I can see what is configured but can’t work out how to reconfigure them to add Media folder. Any help gratefully received.

Oh dear - I wish I had read this thread before doing the update. As it is, I updated earlier today and now cannot access my Linn ASDM. And yes, the Core is run on a QNAP. I’m afraid the work-around suggested in this thread is rather beyond my very limited IT skills. I just have to hope that Roon will get this sorted soon. Otherwise, I fear I will have to ditch Roon and try something else. Too often updates seem to result in what are doubtless unintended but nonetheless very frustrating consequences.

Make sure you add the media folder from your local host when adding the shared folders. You can’t edit them once you have created the container but you can duplicate what you already have and then delete the one that doesn’t work. Hope this helps.

I am sure the nice people at Roon Labs will be happy to extend your test phase as compensation for your troubles. (turns head to the nice people at Roon Labs) Right?
