Description of Issue

I suddenly cannot enable my NAD C389 in Roon. This was preceded by Roon not playing numerous files in my database.

Hello @Wade_Davis

Thank you for reaching Roon support.

Due to recent changes on the NAD side, some parts of the devices are identified incorrectly. We have reached out to our partners team to resolve the issue.

So in the meantime NAD products do not function as Roon endpoints?

NAD has a different explanation. And since the last software update for NAD’s BluOS occurred on August 5 and this problem did not occur until August 21, I am inclined to believe this is a Roon issue, not an NAD issue.

Hello @Wade_Davis

Thank you for the update.

We’ve seen multiple reports with similar devices, and we are currently updating our database to restore Roon Ready functionality. The root cause is that the manufacturer changed the device’s advertisement settings in their firmware.

I’ve explained the details here:

Our partner team will be updating the database as soon as possible, and once that’s complete, you should be able to enjoy listening again without issue.

Hello @Wade_Davis

Our partners team has updated our database to align with the new config.
