Or is it just no longer available in Roon? That would be odd considering their other station, WHRV 89.5, is still available in Roon.

The current link for WXRT does not work. Says unavailable in your country, which is North America. The other links previously posted also do not work.

Hi Brian, thanks for recently adding SBS Chill (Australia). Unfortunately, the stream URL is not working. Is this my end? I hope it is possible to resolve as some of us have been listening to the station for years. Thx.

and it seems to work for the US when I tested it using Roon’s US based stream tester (I am in the UK).

FYI Radio 2.0 from Italy is now Futura FM. FLAC stream, logo and METADATA SERVICE have been updated.

Hi Brian, I have tried your link (https://sbs-hls.streamguys1.com/hls/sbschill/playlist.m3u8) in Roon without success. However, I can play it fine in a browser. Perhaps this is a setting in my config? I am running Roon ROCK on a Synology NAS as my core.

That station plays in AAC. Are you sure that you don’t have the Synology and AAC issue.

Discontinuation of server-side AAC transcoding

Taipei, Taiwan—10 July 2023—Synology today announced an important change to its core DiskStation Manager (DSM) operating system. Effective 1 August 2023, server-side transcoding with AAC codec will be discontinued for all DSM versions.

Thanks, @BrianW & @Rugby, the ffmpeg did the trick! I downloaded the file from Roononnas Chris Reike’s site and am all sorted. Super happy to have this resolved and be able to play the SBS Chill station from back home in Oz. Much appreciated :slight_smile:
