Weird. I suppose this needs looking at the logs by Roon staff.
Thanks @Suedkiez - I have them to offer, from this time around and from the first time this issue occurred.
Same behaviour again with a fresh Roon config, restore of latest - and without disabling local storage. I have a video of the numbers counting downwards…
This time the start of the ‘purge all Qobuz’ seemed to coincide with Mac Mini resuming from Sleep.
Help!!
Hi @Jack_O_Donoghue,
Thanks for writing in to let us know about this. We will put a ticket in with our developers about this issue. When we know more we will let you know. Thank you in advance for your patience!
Thanks @daniel , much appreciated.
Please can I upload logs?
I can provide them from the first occurrence, and also from the latest install.
I’m considering a full reset on the Mac mini, as I just received it and system has little else on it. I need to get Roon working within the return window!
Hi @daniel,
Please can your team enable any diagnostics on my account?
I can offer a timestamp of this strange behaviour reversed (and another video!)
Today at GMT 20:43 thru 20:52
This occurred after rebooting Mac Mini-
- MacOs again prompted to enable discovery of devices on network
- Roon Server started
- Sync started and built back up from 0 - 0 thru to 3085 artists and 5714 albums.
Hey @Jack_O_Donoghue,
Our team is still investigating your case further - thanks for your patience! We’ve been able to run diagnostics on your Roon Server, but a set of logs would be great as well - feel free to use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader?
We should have more information to share soon - thank you!
Thank you @benjamin , I have uploaded 2 sets of logs:
- Logs.zip - latest logs, which contain traces for the latest desync and resync with Qobuz, as well as my two other open SRs noted below.
- RoonLogs2411-FirstOccurrenceQobuzDesync - first set of logs, which should have trace for the first occurrence of the Qobuz desync.
In terms of priority to me, I’d put my open SRs in this order:
- Audio targets limited to ‘This Mac’ after Roon Server restart: this means I cannot even start listening!
- Playback stopping every few minutes on Mojo via USB: this means that I cannot enjoy listening, when I can start listening.
- This SR ticket: desync behaviour is not currently impacting me.
- Restore failing on Mac Mini M4: behaviour is not currently impacting me.
Thanks for your help with these.
Hi @Vince_Deters,
The team still has an open ticket to investigate this issue. From what we’ve ascertained, you might encounter this condition (Qobuz items missing) whenever you restore a Backup from RoonServer. The workaround is to re-sync your Qobuz library twice from Settings → Services.
We’ll post here as soon as the underlying issue has a fix testing in Early Access. Thank you!
Hi @Jack_O_Donoghue,
I’m merging this thread into another topic so you can receive updates as the team investigates. Thank you!
Hi All!
We have some good news - we’ve merged a fix for this issue that will be linked to our upcoming Early Access update.
Once that gets some initial testing and confirmation it’s running smoothly, we’ll push it over to our next Production update and hopefully no longer experience this issue!
After you receive a notification to update, perform the update and let us know the results. Thank you!
Great, nice and easy. Thanks @Geoff_Coupe .
Take the early build only when you need it

Describe the issue
Roon just wiped all of my 20,000+ Qobuz albums
Describe your network setup
wifi network with netgear mesh routers, roon core connected via ethernet to one of the nodes

I had (until 10 minutes ago) a large library of more than 20k albums and 200k tracks. I thought I would take advantage of the Listen Later feature and remove some exploratory albums from the library, as the blog post suggested. I filtered by unplayed and genres and deleted maybe something around 4k albums in total in 3, 4 deletion acts. After a server restart which I needed to do because it became very slow, Roon started deleting ALL of my albums, like 10-20 at a time until nothing from Qobuz is left in my library anymore. I just restarted again to see if they come back, but no.
This is urgent, this was curated in 3+ years of Roon usage and I had lots of likes, favorites etc I rely on regularly. I do have regular backups, should I restore those?
I checked in the Qobuz app and the albums I had in my library are still marked as favorites. In the past when I tried bulk deleting too many albums, they all came back after a while, presumably pushed by Qobuz.
I just restored a backup and my albums came back. However, it started deleting again shortly after as the count is now dropping. It may only delete again what I intended to delete (~4k albums), but it’s morely likely it will delete the whole library again.
yup, it’s deleting them all again!
This has happened before to users, its some bug with Roon and certain Qobuz accounts. It doesnt affect the albums in Qobuz just the sync of your library to Roon.
did they disappear gradually before too? looks like Roon is trying to delete them in small batches.
