1197 appears to have fixed the gapless problemā¦at least on my setup.

Can you play Qobuz as well as Tidal streams gapless? I experience the gapless issue with both, but attention is mainly given to Qobuz.

Iāve joined up for early access today, in order to try out the early access build 1197.
Very early indications after doing so suggests that this specific early access build has indeed fixed gapless playback and/or removed the delays experiences between tracks.
This has been when selecting and playing an album, from beginning to end, via qobuz. Albums that were frustrating listens due to this issue have all played through fine so far, and without issue.
I donāt ever play Qobuz playlists, so havenāt tested those, nor do I tend to use Roon Radio much, as I prefer albums to finish and for playback to cease at that point, so canāt comment on that working smoothly, either.
Also, I donāt have Tidal.
Anyway - this could be a great big YAY from me if this issue proves to have been completely negated by this specific early access build!

OK. The situation remains stable at this point, across my endpoints with early access build 1197. Same use case (Qobuz, album playback, only). But, with one exception that Iāve identified thus far:
Pauses/delays/gaps in playback of an album, following an instance of a very short track track. In my experience, these problem tracks tend to be super short - around 10 seconds or less. When the song/track is that short, buffering and delay tends to follow it, ahead of the subsequent track playing, eventually. The delay is then like those weāve been seeing reported in this or other similar threads. After the delay, playback then returns to normal and remains gapless, until another short track encounter arises (should there be one in the album).
Things have improved, hugely, with 1197, judging on my playback experience, today, but this scenario outlined above still results in the issue. Plus, itās also potentially possible that interacting with the UI of Roon Remote running device at the point of buffering may even help trigger progressing to the next track (fyi my iOS devices running Roon Remote tend to have the beta Lock Screen controls enabled - all are running the early access app versions).
Lastly, just to add, this behaviour when encountering very short tracks has actually been an issue that Iāve encountered for quite a long time (I just happen to have a number of albums I play that has such tracks), and this was before the more general gapless/delay problems that appear to have evolved recently.
Hope this is useful @benjamin in general this early access version is doing the trick, aside from the scenarios outlined above.
EDIT: I also think this short track issue may actually apply to local AND Qobuz playback scenarios.

I have downloaded the Early Access builds for my MAC server and remotes. While I have JUST done this (within the past hour), I am still finding gaps in what should be a gapless playback experience (the transition from Breath In The Air to On The Run on Dark Side of the Moon or side 2 of The Beatlesā Abbey Road) using a BlueSound PowerNode as my transport using Qobuz. They remain properly gapless with Tidal and the Qobuz versions play properly when using their App (not Roon) as the control mechanism through the same PowerNode. So things here, in my setup anyway, remain problematic.

@James_McKeand I donāt have build 1197 installed, Iām waiting for the regular build. I donāt want to sign up for early access, because I wonāt always have the time to report problems with those builds (or want to experience those problems 
).

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, that doesnāt sound very promising. I had high hopes for a new build. I will test it here when the production build is available.

The whole album needs gapless playback to sound right and I have zero problems with the album on Qobuz. All tracks are gapless with B1197 even when I click within 10 seconds of the end of track.
Iām on early build and so far no problems either. I was having gaps since end of Nov and up until this new build. So the fix worked for me. At least so far.
One thing to make sure is the both the app and the core are updated to the latest early build. Sometimes you get notice the app updated in Test Flight but still need to go to settings in the app and update the core.

With apologies to those still hitting issues, I can report that things continue to be stable here today on early access build 1197, and the fix appears to be addressing most of the problems I was encountering.
However, I can also confirm that the short track specific issue I referenced upthread still continues to occur consistently, and it does indeed affect both Qobuz and Local file playback (tested with the same versions of the same albums, at the same resolution). This still results in gapless/buffering/delays (a track in an album of ~10 seconds or less seems to be the trigger).
Finally, as has been the case up until now, neither of these scenarios (playback of either local or Qobuz album with very short track) triggers gapless/buffering/delays issues in the current early access build of ARC - nice to have an alternative option as a workaround

Much thanks and respect to all of the early access/beta testing community for helping to sort this issue out. Iām going to semi patiently wait for the next regular update as well. Weāre only 60 days into 2.0? Maybe Iām off a little bit with the time, I will just hope that the developers team will get to the basics first and work their way out. With ARC, CarPlay yada yada etc. I hope that they havenāt been spread too thin. Last evening I counted 55 posts to the support topic in 12 hrs, thatās a lot of work and time consuming for them. Iām wishing them well and hope they can get through this tough season soon

Not sure where you get 60 days from, it came out in September so a bit longer than that.

Like I saidā¦ā¦ā¦Iām new to the Roon family. Been traveling between homes etc. times fun when youāre having flies. Guess Iām only 60 days into a life sentence

By the way, it works for me without any problems until now, no hungry gaps threatening
