Description Of Issue

I have a number of AirPlay devices installed in my home and network accessible. When attempting to use these with Roon 1.8 on my iMac, the devices do not play any output. If I select the zone and track and hit play it starts to play then stops immediately. I am able to use any of these devices through MacOS with out issue. Example, I can play audio from other apps directly to those devices. All my other devices (Project StreamBox Ultra, Firefly Dac) work ok.

Hi @Ira_Chavis

Do you have these devices grouped or are you playing to them individually?

Were these devices working previously with Roon? Were there any changes around the time this started not working if so?

Since experiencing this problem have you tried rebooting your audio devices and Core?

@Dylan I am happy to say my issue appears to be resolved. The culprit may have been Norton Security. I removed Norton and reinstall Kaspersky cloud security and all appears to work again. I had rebooted everything and it didn’t change, but realized I switched to Norton at one point cause Kaspersky was causing kernel panics for me. I was not happy with Norton so decided to give Kaspersky another chance thus my airplay devices at least are usable. I get a short sputtering when the audio first starts to play but aside from that it all seems to work ok. I don’t use any groupings…
