How about as an option and user puts in API key? That’s what most apps do

rooAIDJ for iPhone and iPad was just updated to Version 1.03. We added support for GPT-4-mini. The GPT model can be switched between GPT-3.5 and GPT-4-mini in the settings.

Has anyone found good use case for this? Eventually AI and music discovery is grand slam but it seems early days. Plus Spotify has all the data!
Make fuzzy requests. Ex: songs that have music videos by michel gondry or Chris Cunningham

After rooADI I am now investigating rooAIDJ.
Smooth install; all is going fine. I am using it with a MacBook M3 only.
Some suggestions to improve the user experience 
- After having gotten some results following a query, It would be great to be able to select part of the text suggested, to copy paste with the trackpad/mouse to fine tune the query. For the time being, the “copy” function copies everything in the one-line windows, and to adjust it by deleting unnecessary words is not easy.
- I guess it is already in the pipeline, but opening the apps to other search engines would definitely be a great step forward. I am a huge fan of perplexity.ai which leads to amazing results.

I love the RoonAIDJ, but when I get the results, it does not always do a great job moving those results into a playlist. I will upload photos. I would love for this app to pull from my library in roon and make recommendations from that, and have the choice to add streaming services to its knowledge. I suspect my issue is that aidj uses open ai, finds songs that may not exist, or in a format that roon does not match up to. I would kill to have an AI interface that is aware of my library and can interact with it.

Yes, because we rely on the Roon search to move the LLM results into the playlist. Roon search sometimes produces bad results and does not support rules or keywords. Unfortunately, there is no other mechanism in the Roon API to access the database.

I would love to try out this extension, but reading this thread it seems that it only supports Apple. Is that still the case? I use Windows and Android.

this is true. It supports iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch only. There are so few requests for other platforms till now we don’t want to spend time for that. Sorry.

Any plans to either let it read the tracks I have in Roon (so it can get tracks that are remixes, or other stuff not necessarily on Tidal)?
Also, would be so good if I could use my own api key!
