Roon cannot find Sonic Orbiter as a server - (The Small Green Computer)

I have the SGC ST base model 2016 (no storage) with 2.5 sonic orbitor O/S.

I have acquired Roon but as soon as I first boot the software there is an immediate problem! Roon is reporting that it can’t connect to this server(?) and that it requires an update. I have pressed the update button but it says all is fine and remains at ver.2.5? I am stuck!

I don’t know if there is a firewall issue preventing connection, but all I get is the rotating circle saying attempting to connect and it gets stuck there!

I need some help because I don’t know how to proceed from here? I can do an any desk remote invitation if necessary?

Hi, If you go to the Sonore website and click FAQ at the top, you will find instructions for updating the unit to 2.8 OS.

if i did find it, how would i execute the update?
