My ISP (AT&T) pushed an update last weekend that disrupted my network. It changed my network name and rendered all wireless connections unusable. After hours with their tech support, they “reverted” my network setting back to what they were the day before and most things are fine now.
One exception is that since that incident, my Roon Nucleus+ cannot access my NAS drive. My personal computer is able to access the NAS without issue; but the Nucleus+ cannot.
Roon ARC is also not working since the network incident; but the NAS drive is my more urgent problem.
Making life even more complex, I just ordered a new Nucleus Titan as an upgrade with the intention of returning my Nucleus+. The backups to my Nucleus+ are on the NAS drive which my Nucleus can no longer access so I am in a world of Roon trouble and desperately need help, please.
Hi @Tom_Gurgui,
Thanks for writing in to let us know about this issue. Can you try deleting and readding the NAS in Roon’s storage settings?
For your ARC issue you might have to redo the port forwarding.
Today I worked with my ISP’s Help Desk and finally got the port forwarding to work so that Roon ARC is working again.
After that, I called the Iosafe Help Desk and they were able to help me connect the Roon Nucleus + to the NAS. Basically, instead of using the network name that I see in my Windows Explorer ([\iosafe](file://iosafe/)), he told me to use the IP address of the NAS (\192-168.1.xyz) and then it worked.
I let the Roon Nucleus + import the music that was on the server. When that finished, I did another backup to the NAS.
I then logged into the Nucleus Titan and connected it to the NAS. Then I “restored” the system backup that I had made earlier today. So now I can see my playlists, etc, on the Nucleus Titan.
I believe all that’s remaining is to uninstall the Nucleus + from my network and ship it back to Roon with the RMA (as part of the upgrade to the Titan).
How do I properly wipe my old Nucleus + clean and remove it from my account?
Go to the nucleus web admin page and click Reset next to the Roon Database & Settings section. If you installed a second SSD make sure you remove it from the nucleus and keep it.
I have a new, high bandwidth (and very high quality) HDMI cable connecting my Nucleus Titan directly to my Marantz AV processor (AV8805). The intent is to be able to listen to multichannel audio in the TV room.
In my Roon “Audio” section, I do not see any HDMI outputs at all. Below are screenshots of all of the audio output devices that my Roon Titan is able to see:
