Roon remote connects to the core on Android and Windows but Roon won't start

I9 small green computer as core found… but android app won’t start or on windows either. Help please fix. Roon not starting. I have to uninstall roon app on sonictranporter i9 to get it start again and then get the roon app to work again. but I’m sick of that as fix. It keeps happening.
Has roon come up with a fix yet?

Hello @David_Engelhard1,

Thanks for getting in touch and sharing the issue you seem to have been experiencing for a while. Sorry about that

We’d love to help

To begin with, could we please clarify the exact behavior that’s happening? Your Roon Core is an I9 SGC that you connect to with a Samsung remote (Roon Remote app) and a Microsoft laptop. There are times when even if you connect to your Core, the Roon Remote app on your phone or the Roon software on your laptop don’t work.

What errors are you seeing? Could you please share a screenshot?

Can you temporarily use a wired connection from your laptop to the SGC and see if you’re still experiencing this connectivity issue?

Hi @David_Engelhard1

Were you able to get things up and running?

Already did all that.
I get the loading sign but roon never loads.
It connects to the core and then stops

No. The only way I can use roon again is to log onto my Server Sonictransporter I9 and Uninstaller and reinstall roon. That’ll work for a short time and then the same behavior will return. Android and Windows Both.
I think Sonictransporter is Linux but it’s Roon Core Approved.
I’m very unhappy. And I’m a lifetime subscriber.
Tech at Sonictransporter can’t fix it and They say it’s got to be Software issue.

Hey @David_Engelhard1,

Thanks for following every suggestion so far. I’m only sorry none has fixed your issue…

It’s hard to imagine not being upset in a situation like this. It’s hardly a way to use Roon, having to reinstall it regularly.

I’ve gotten in touch with @Dylan to see what potential next steps could help

Thank you. Perhaps get in touch with Andrew CEO of Small Green Computer as well. I think that issue as far as your endorsement of his Sonictransporter line of roon cores could be very helpfull to many .
Please try that as well. He was even nice enough to exchange one i9 for another because I thought Perhaps that hardware might be the issue. Unfortunately I was wrong. But the man is an honorable cat.

Hi @David_Engelhard1, I’m not seeing a link to the logs anywhere. Can you share a link to them here or in a PM to me? Thanks!

Hi @David_Engelhard1, I didn’t see the logs come through for this. I tried using the download link, that didn’t work either. I’m following up with a PM.
