· Hello i’m writting you because since last night , following its latest update, Roon is indefinitely waiting for m’y Roon server, an Antipodes DS from 2016 upgraded to DX in 2018. I use m’y Roon app on a Apple tablet or an IPhone 13. Everything was working perfectly until now, and i haven’t made any changes or adjustements to m’y system. My Antipodes server is powered on and connected to thé network. Is this a bug relate to the latest update that might affecting other users ? Could you help me resolve this issues ? Thank you in advance.

You’re the third Antipodes user with an issue I’m aware of. As suggested in the oldest thread, please also open a support request with Antipodes support.

Please find answer from Antipodes support below

Hi Marc, we do not allow root access to our music servers.

If you require service, this can be undertaken at one of our authorized service centre’s.

@Marc_PUTEAUX
This is not a very nice answer from them.
Perhaps you can ask them when they are going to push an OS-update, so that Roon Server 2.65 is able to run on your Antipodes.
Good luck, Frank.

Hello @Kerdiles_Christophe ,

As per @Suedkiez ‘s link, you need to be using AMS v4 and above to use the latest Roon version, which version are you currently using? Can you try to update if you have an older version? Let us know how this goes.

Hello Norris
There’s no naming convention between the old and new versions. My Antipodes DX’s software version is 2.9, and the last update was in November 2023. Unfortunately, no update to version 2.9 is available. So, the solution to our problem can’t be on Antipodes’ end. I think the solution would be to undo the last Roon update on my device, but I don’t know if that’s possible or how to do it…

Hey @Kerdiles_Christophe,

I totally hear where you’re coming from, the most logical fix when an update breaks things is to just undo it. Unfortunately, Roon doesn’t actually offer an option to roll back to previous versions.

The reason the ball is in Antipodes’ court is that version 2.9 is a legacy software suite. Roon’s newer updates often require modern dependencies or a newer Linux kernel that 2.9 doesn’t support.

Even though the Roon update triggered the issue, the solution usually requires the manufacturer to provide a path to their newer firmware (like AMS v4 or v5) that is built to handle current Roon protocols.

It might be worth reaching out to their support to see if your DX is eligible for a software or platform upgrade, specifically, if you haven’t yet.
