Nas Server on Synology DSM 7.3

I think the update from 04/27 is causing issues with many people and many NAS…

Its likely due to the planned update, this was implemented 27/04

I am supposed to be on the valid side for DSM and not needed to implement the Docker solution

Do you mean that even being on the higher DSM request from Roon I still have to fight with Docker installation?

ah, didn’t catch you were on latest DSM.

You should be able to update your system as normal. Do you run Christopher Rieke image (roononnas.org) ?

I did download the image from the website but after a quick Google search and did not work.

That’s why I open the ticket, I was pretty sure being on the safe side after all my homework done (including the reset of my whole network this morning)

This time I go manually to the shared website

And I did manually update on my NAS, again.

And the magic happened, now listening again my music.

Thank you for the idea

Glad you got your music back :slightly_smiling_face:

Just be aware that you might need to consider Docker down the road, based on CR latest post. I’m using his image at the moment, but I guess I have to move in the future.

Hi @Jose_Alconchel,

Great to hear that manual update got things working again, and that you are back to listening to your music. Please do consider the Docker option, you can look over our guide here for reference Installing RoonServer on QNAP with Docker. We’ll go ahead and mark this thread for closure. Enjoy your music! :slightly_smiling_face:

I will, I have understood, as per messages received the actual status will surely fail in a short time.

So, the instructions you have shared are valid for a Synology NAS, also?

I see the item is called “install on a QNAP"…

Hey @Jose_Alconchel,

Close! Here is the dedicated KB article for Synology specifically:

Hope this helps. We’re here if you have any additional questions along the way. :folded_hands:
