I hope no one minds me jumping in on this post, but I have the very same issue and can provide my Roon Bridge log text if it will help the support team find the cause?
Let me know and I offer my apologies if this is not helpful.

Hey @AVid_D,
It’s best to troubleshoot user reports individually, so I have split your post out into it’s own thread.
Yes, please provide a set of your Roon Bridge logs, also some more details regarding your setup would be useful:
I have just introduced a Roon Bridge into my set up. My Roon Core is a MacMini. The Roon bridge is running on a cheap mini PC with Windows 10 Pro.
The Core and my remotes report running 1.7 build 571, however the Bridge reports being up to date but running 1.0 build 172.
My Bridge logs and a screen shot of my Roon set up details can be found in the dropbox link below.
Thanks for sending those over @AVid_D, let me put in a request to our QA team to review the logs and once that’s been done, I will reach out to you once more.
Hi @AVid_D,
Thanks for sending those logs over. It looks like there is an issue with Roon Bridge checking for an update. Can you please confirm:
Since you are using a Windows PC, I would verify that both RoonBidge.exe has been added as exceptions to your Windows firewall.
You can use these instructions to add the exceptions and the executables themselves would be located in your Database Location/Application folder path.
I would also add these exceptions to any Antivirus or other Firewall blocking applications you may have and ensure that you connected to your network via a Private network, not a Public one, see this guide for more information.
Progress. The latest download from the site has been installed and is reporting as 1.7 (571).
I guess the one I pulled down last Thursday must still have been old.
I cannot explain the failure of the Roonbridge to update automatically, because it is fully allowed through the firewall and several reboots made no difference.
I will keep an eye on it to see if any newer version of the bridge automatically updates .
Thanks.
Glad to hear that the manual install worked!
