I have an app, I’d just rather not crank the speed on the internal fan.

all you need now is a wireless extension cord

is your core running on the Mac Classic?

Looks like a Raspberry Pi stuffed inside an empty Classic shell. Everytime I look at this picture I see something new and weird. It’s so weirdly and carefully curated and set up. Why are the guitars sitting in a bed of rocks with a spotlight on them? Why are all the VU meters on but at 0? Why is the saxophone blocking a third of the vinyl collection?

What is that crazy original Apple original Macintosh-looking thing at the top running Roon?!

100% agreed about the insanity in that photo @John_Claude !

@Pablo_Gutierrez  :exploding_head: you win for this crazy shot :star_struck:

That just looks like it is the angle the photo was taken from. The sax looks like it is forward and to the left of the rack, so vinyl still accessible.

They are rock guitars

Is that a vintage printers tray behind your equipment rack. I have 5 in my room, used as diffuser devices :grimacing:

Light points to the good things… feet in the dark, guitars and sax on the spotlight… lol

I think they look cool there and it’s easy to grab them.

The vumeters are at 0 because with 1 watt you get like a hundred db spl in the listening position…thats the good thing of compression drivers :grimacing: (109db/1w/1m tweeter and 97db/1w/1m the 15’ 1603 wofer). You don’t need too much power to finish deaf )

You can perfecty wallk between the vinyl shelf and the sax.

It’s a custom DIY roon display inside an original Mac classic case using an rpi3 and AliExpress components. I love it :sunglasses:

What ADC do you use with RooExtend?

Hi all, just joined the community as a recent Roon adopter, (two weeks ago) but have been streaming Tidal for a number of year’s into my Meridian setup which I’ve had for about three decades using a Chord Mojo.

A few months ago I manged to obtain an Eversolo DMP-A6 streamer which I was made aware of by a very good friend of mine, (he runs a PS Audio Dacstream Mk1 into an Audio Research pre/power amp combination).

My system consists of the following:

Eversolo DMP-A6 with a 2Tb internal NVME ssd
Beyerdynamic A1 headphone amplifier.
Roon Core installed on a Dell Optiplex 3070.
Meridian M3 active speakers which were upgraded about six year’s ago which replaced a pair of Magneplanar MG1b’s.
Roon runs through my Huawei P30 'phone and a Dell Latitude 5400 laptop.

Pic’s also show some gear which is semi-retired which I’m reluctant to move on as it was was my first significant investment all those year’s ago but still works well.

Hi @Victor_Davis welcome to the community.
There are plenty of music threads to join if you fancy sharing what you are listening to.
Quite useful to find new music and maybe you showing us something new as well.
This is one of them.

So, have you figured out how to make digital 1,s and 0,s from the Morse code key tapper? very nice table, enjoy.

Great catch on the morse code straight key. I didn’t even notice it. Cool!

Hi @Victor_Davis and welcome to the community.
Very nice setup you have, reminds me of a few years spent with Meridian M2’s, wonderful speakers, I couldn’t afford the 600 series kit at the time…:+1:t4:

Here is what I am enjoying :metal:t4:

  • Kimber Kable
