There’s a fairly active House Curve app thread here, in which the developer participates. No posts for a month, but a couple hundred in total, oughta keep you busy for a bit!

Brave having a dartboard so close to your speaker! :dart:

Crazy that TV looks so out of place lol

Did a Frame TV and use it as a Roon Display or nice art

the UMIK gets power from the USB port. Does the iPad Pro have such an USB port? (I know my iPhone doesn’t - so no UMIK on Housecurve then…)

See @AMT reply, it works for iPad or iPhone ….

Hi @Gadnoz_Seek

Depends on the age of you iPad Pro. If it is 2019 or newer it does have USB-C. If it is older, you need the adapter @AMT spoke about.

Well I can’t miss since there is a huge magnet :magnet: hidden behind the board :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’m getting deja vu on a dartboard and speaker being in risky positions from way earlier in this thread.

History has a way of repeating itself. :face_with_monocle:

There are alternative microphones for [example] plus other models and there are adapters for all that I have seen.

Is that a queue for some

That tv is a Roon monitor only - my projector projects an 11’ wide image above it for movies…

And those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

The :magnet: is a great idea and would seriously help my score if it was behind the bulls eye :joy:

Did you take the sticker off of the CXA81 yet? ; )

I know you say it’s your final setup, but is that really where you’re stopping with speakers? I think you’d see a huge improvement in sound by moving past those to a pair of KEF R2s or similar.

Thanks all for the tips about Housecurve. Had a fun evening measuring and testing. It helped me better relate to a previous convolution filter I had made.

In the end I preferred my EQ settings (developed over the last couple of years - also felt this way about previous filter) but I was able to better understand why and what it did to the music/room than before.

Was interesting to get the instant feedback from different room positions.

B&O calls it ARC for Active Room Compensation. Not to be confused with roon ARC

I am very happy with this feature of the Beolabs.
You can choose a number of different listening spots, and for each spot whether you want to be active listening or just want background music.
For instance in my case, I have configured and measured in 4 spots

  1. my usual background listening spot on the left side of the couch.
  2. my alternative background listening spot on the right side of the couch.
  3. active listening spot in my listening fauteuil.
  4. room wide music.

Works very well for me.
Cheers
Flere
