Working perfect yesterday, now cannot connect to Roon Core

Just came back home and cannot connect my ipad to my Roon core running on my Qnap.
Was working perfectly yesterday.

Any idea on what could have happened?

Just restarted my Qnap, but still cannot access Roon Core:-(

Instead of restarting the core, in most cases, restarting the ipad ( not only roon on the ipad) helps reconnecting.
Maybe it is even enough to push the power button of the ipad once( that worked one time for me)
Dirk

Restarted mi ipad, still cannot find Roon Core.
Same results from my mac and iphone.

Any ideas on what I could do?

PS. Still a rookie…

The only thing I can think of is restarting your router, in order to ‘reset’ your local network
Dirk

Restarted my router, but still cannot accept Roon Core.
Anyone having experienced something like this?
Should I make a new installation of Roon Core on my qnap?

Logfile from Roon database on my SSD, it’s 4 pages long with the same init…start…running…not responding…error sequenze repeated.

What do you suggest I should do?

Have you any switches in the network? Has one failed? Have you re booted them?

Rebooted my router and QNAP, no change.
No problems at all to access neither files nor applications on my QNAP.
I’m still on the trial period, could there be any issues with licensing?

And @support

How can I tag this to support?

I just did, up above. :no_mouth:

Hi @Markku_Huusko,

So we can better assist you, please provide a brief description of your current setup using this link as a guide.

Make sure to describe your network configuration/topology, including any networking hardware currently in use, so we can have a clear understanding of how your devices are communicating.

How long had things been working previously? Had all of your content imported?

Do you have any USB devices connected to the Core machine and, if you disconnect them, is there any change?

Hi Dylan,

I have a fiber WAN connection to my LAN.
In the network I have 2 Qnap NAS.
Tvs882T with Roon server installed, database on SSD.
The other one TS869 Pro with all my music files.
Made my first Roon installation around Christmas on the Qnap.
Everything was working fine yesterday.
Around 110000 tracks imported, some still remaining.
As remotes using iPhone, iPad and Mac Pro.
No USB in use.
Asus RT-AC88U as router.
A pair of Devialet phantom for audio.
Today i have not been capable to access the Roon Core at all.

A post was split to a new topic: Issues connecting to NUC Core

Today suddenly I was able to connect to the Roon Core on my Qnap.

Anybody who could explain what happened?

Hi @Markku_Huusko,

Glad to hear you’re up and running again!

It’s going to be a bit difficult to know what exactly happened but if you want, you can provide a set of logs by using the instructions outline on (https://roononnas.org/en/qnap/) and share then via Dropbox / Google Drive here and I can take a look for any clues.
