· I use the "Added" view regularly to browse recently added albums & singles. Since yesterday I have about 40 albums that got added to this section (added date = Jan 15 2026) although I did not add them myself on that date. These albums & singles were already part of my library before, looks like they got added again. It's quite annoying as this breaks my timeline of regular additions. The albums are on Qobuz.

What you’re seeing isn’t unexpected in Roon, although it’s certainly frustrating when it occurs. The underlying Qobuz objects for these albums were updated during a background sync with the Qobuz API. Something about the underlying Qobuz object changed. Even minor changes—such as a revised release ID, edition information, or other catalog-level updates—will result in Roon ingesting the album as a new object from Qobuz. When this happens, Roon updates the “Added” date to reflect when the updated object entered your library.
However, it’s rare for this to occur to 40 albums all at once. Usually, these changes trickle in. The team has a ticket in the pipeline tracking cases where Qobuz content will pop up in Recently Added completely erroneously. We’re going to take this report and attempt to reproduce the issue internally.
In the meantime, can you please restart your RoonServer two times (the second restart is essential) in order to enable some verbose logging our QA team has requested?
Thanks for looking into this issue. I just restarted my RoonServer twice. For info, I also attempted a backup restore before your reply (didn’t have any effect on the issue).
I know how to set things up to sort by date. When I do, it’s sorting alphabetical by Artist name. Just started happening. When retrieve a backup it’s as it should be until it refreshes and then it goes back to sorting alphabetically.
Thanks for the additional details — that’s very helpful.
Could you please check whether the “Date Added” values on the affected albums still look correct?
In particular, do the albums show their original add dates, or do multiple albums appear to share the same (or very recent) date?
If the “Date Added” metadata was updated or reset during a refresh, that could explain why sorting by date added behaves like alphabetical sorting.
Let us know what you see, and we’ll take it from there.
Did this happen to anyone else? (before I submit a support ticket…). Two days ago my Recently Added chronology completely changed. Albums I truly recently added now (still in library) do not show while albums I added months ago show as having been added “3 days ago”. Never had this one happen before. Albums added would be Qobuz titles added to library from Roon.
· A couple of days ago the "date added" for many of my albums (all from Qobuz) changed to January 19, 2026, even though I actually added those albums to my library over the past year or two. 149 older additions to my library are now at the top of the "My Albums" list when sorted by date added. This makes it hard to find the albums that I actually added recently, because they are far down the list.
If I open the first album in the list, it says "Added 19 January 2026" even though I actually added it some time ago. Most of the albums no longer show the date they were added when I open them.
If I go to Home>Recent activity>added, there is a list of albums that say "Added 2 days ago," but again, these are albums I added quite a bit longer ago than that. The albums that I actually added recently don't show up in this truncated list.
If I go to Qobuz>MY QOBUZ>Favorite albums, all the albums are listed in the correct order in which I added them to Roon. The first albums in the list are the ones that I added recently. So the problem only seems to be in the Roon library.
Yes, the same thing happened to me (except mine say they were added 2 days ago). Albums that I actually added recently are now way down the list. I opened a support ticket.
I sent Roon a lot of information back in December. I have yet to hear directly from them which is a bit disappointing. It’s a very real problem and hearing their opinion on this would be helpful. I spent weeks gathering information and trying everything I could possibly do only to get the same result. I utilize Roon everyday of the week and not having it function properly is annoying at best. Some insight from the tech staff at Roon is important and now it seems Im not the only one with this issue.
I’ve occasionally had a Qobuz album in my library show up as unavailable because Qobuz replaced it with a new version. In those cases I had to manually add the new version. It’s a little annoying when that happens, because it means that album is no longer in the right order based on date added, and the record of how many times I’ve played each track is lost. It isn’t a big deal when it just happens to one album that’s been in my library for a long time. But when it happens to 149 of them all at once it makes it much harder to remind myself of which albums I was planning to listen to soon. This has never happened to me before, because in the past new dates have never been added automatically. I guess I’ll have to start relying on “Listen Later” a lot more than I have been up till now, rather than on date added.
