After searching for Berlioz Symphonie fantastique:

I am informed of the presence of 7 recordings from my local library:

Note that there are really 8 recordings: 5 in CD resolution, 2 in high res, and 1 in DSD, whereas 7 were announced b…
Please check the “Only Complete Recordings” setting in the sorting tab (located to the left of the filter funnel), and see if it is set to on. Try to unset it and verify how the counts read.
Numerous posts report a bug about the incorrect behavior of this setting.

Posts about the “Only Complete Recordings” issue are accumulating. Could you acknowledge it and open a ticket about it ?
Thanks
Please check the setting of “Only Complete Recordings” on the composition page. It must be set to off. Roon behavior when the setting is “on” is mostly disastrous.
Please check if “Complete recordings only” is set to on in the dropdown list under “Recordings by…”. If so, deactivate it.
Not so. The “Only Complete Recordings” switch is still there, but seems to not be shown when, as in the case of Fred Lehdarhl, the are very few recordings of a composition.
Just try with Berlioz “Symphonie Fantastique”, and you will see that the “Only Complete Recordings” switch is still there with its inedaquacies, as you called them.
This issue has been reported many times before by myself and others as well. I hope Roon team will find a solution in the near future but, as usual, no time frame in view.
etc…
Maybe yor are a new victim of the “Only complete recordings” setting. It is hidden under the “Recordings by…” dropdown menu. Try disabling this “feature” if you can.
And see @Mike explnations when this “feature” was introduced in Roon 1.8.
“Complete Performance” is data we get from one of our metadata providers. It’s pretty comprehensive, but like any metadata there will be gaps and mistakes.
When Roon matches an album, some performances may include the “complete” flag and only those with the flag will be displayed when the toggle is set.
This can happen when we identify a streaming album or a local album but we only know if the flag is set or not. This means that while the list should only contain complete performances, it’s d…
What happened with those ideas about improving and expanding this data in the future that @Mike talked about?
This is an example of a lingering issue which was vastly documented but never solved and, I am afraid, now forgotten. As you wrote in your post, and as I frequently suggested, please Roon devs come with a solution, or simply remove this half baked feature.
