MQA with Procedural EQ = "unexpected error communicating..." [Roon Investigating]

Looks like this bug has been documented in multiple threads going back to 2020 (1, 2, 3), but just posting to remind everyone that it still exists. When Procedural EQ mix is engaged, attempts to play MQA content will yield a “unexpected error communicating with Audio device” message.

In my case, I have a Procedural EQ set up for summed mono playback, as advised in Can you set Roon to playback in mono. As long as that DSP is engaged, no TIDAL MQA will play (non-MQA tracks, from TIDAL, Qobuz, or library play fine).

Core: Roon Nucleus (Roon 2.0 build 1148)
End Point: dCS Rossini

Hi @Fred_von_Lohmann1,

Thank you for the report. We have indeed escalated this internally and will be implementing a fix as soon as possible.

Are you able to share a screenshot of the Procedural EQ page itself (as referenced in the above signal path) in the meantime? Just due diligence for our QA team. Thank you.

As requested.
