There are a number of feature requests for this. If you care about this, you should curate them (by identifying all the specific feature requests, below are a few, and asking mods to merge them) and then running a campaign here to get people to vote for the “primary request”.

It would be very useful to allow restarting of the Core from a remote. The whole essence of Roon is that the server/core can be (and often ideally is) located quite far aware from listening locations, so when DACs and such glitch out and the Core needs a restart, it seems a no-brainer option
I don’t think it was the Remote issue or hanging as you had put it. I can click forward or backward and songs jumped to next or previous title, this proved that Remote is not hanged. I can’t paused and the progress bar keeps swiping left and right.
Only after I restarted my RoonServer, I can start using my Remote to play song again.

I’m running the core on a Windows 10 Intel NUC, which is the machine also used as my living room multimedia machine, and permanently connected to my TV set.
As I have a lot of local music files (on a separate unraid fileserver), and often purchase new ones, more than often I have to manually restart the roon application on the core machine to have it rescan the library, and as of now I have to do this on the core machine.
