Hello Everyone,
This week we’re releasing a sweeping set of performance improvements for ARC, improvements to the user login experience, and a number of bug fixes and improvements.
This ARC release is the result of a long campaign to speed up playback start, improve UI performance, and make the app generally snappier. You should notice ARC taking less time to start, playback starting faster, and you should feel the UI is responding better with faster page loads.
Hand-in-hand with ARC performance improvements, we’ve also brought Single-Sign-On to Roon’s full product suite. Rather than entering login credentials within the app, the ARC and Roon login pages now open to a browser where users can securely sign into all Roon services. A single-point login for all Roon services saves time and reduces confusion, it also greatly enhances the security of our Roon user accounts, paving the road for future conveniences surrounding account authentication.
Within Roon, we’ve merged several fixes for longstanding issues, including addressing some cases of choppy vertical scrolling behavior in iOS, and fixing a possible cause for UI hangs on Windows machines.
Finally, this update also marks the beginning of our efforts to improve Artist Discographies by reserving the Main Albums section for an artist’s canonical releases. This is distinct from opportunistic catalog mining releases and out-of-copyright reissues, duplicates, and compilations, all of which are being moved to the new “More From” section.

Installation
Cores, remotes, and ARC installations already running Roon 2.0 Production should update automatically. If you need to reinstall, the latest builds can always be found on the downloads page.
