Version 1.2 has blown up Dirac for me. When I choose Dirac as my zone, I get unlistenable static overlaying the music. When I choose direct connection to my DAC as my zone, all is well, but of course I lose the signal processing of Dirac.
Is there a way to go back to the prior version of Roon?
Hey @jiminlogansquare,
Would you mind try to enable “Use Power-of-2 Hardware Buffer Size” in zone settings ? Let us know if it help.
Thanks
Sure, where do I find that setting? I am not trying to be obtuse, but I sincerely don’t know what you mean by the phrase “zone settings” or how to adjust those settings.
Nevermind; I found the setting you indicated and enabled it. This fixed my problem. Thank you!
Hey @jiminlogansquare,
To enable this setting you need to follow the steps below:
- Launch Roon
- Open Settings
- Go to Audio tab
- Press on gear icon in front of Dirac zone
- Pick ‘Settings’ from the dropdown
- Go to ‘Playback’ tab
- Mark “Use Power-of-2 Hardware Buffer Size” option

heh, I was too slow
I had the same issue, with same cure.
My playback chain is: Roon remote (IOS) -> Roon Server (Mac Mini) -> Dirac -> NAD M12
