I think Martijn has said he regretted very much talking about Roon Ready so early. Now he is doing a similarly silly thing by allowing sale of Roon Ready 8C while the 2.0 firmware containing RR code is still in beta.
The only way out of this mess would be to release the 2.0 firmware before Roon sells it’s first 8C pair, but much of the damage is already done by agreeing to a deal like this!

I second everything you say. Early investors should get early benefits. Everyone of us like to see D&D grow. I’m proud that a Dutch brand makes the most awesome speakers, but marketing wise it’s not handy, to say the least…

It’s weird that the 2 brands i value most in hifi are D&D and Hegel who both can’t deliver on Roon onto their streamers yet. I wonder if there is a shared problem or same critique they have looking at the implementation.
I do value their effort though, it’s not only bad feedback there is

Hi, does anyone tried to use REW with 8c before but cannot detect the speakers? I am using REW V5.20.4 and 8c firmware 1.4.65. Tried the method in Dutch REW matching guide but still can’t make it work and get the error of "cannot read property “map” of null.
