So, I’m replacing a lot of Qobuz albums with purchased local files. Is there anyway of retaining play counts in my stats? Seems a shame to lose hours of listening stats because you removed the streaming version.

Unfortunately no. There are several open feature requests for adding the ability to copy Roon‘s user metadata (also credit edits and other stuff) between album versions
Some that I can find:
This might be a simple one but not sure how to do it if it’s possible.
Have recently started buying quite a lot of my favourite Tidal albums - either download or CD rip.
Once I add them, assuming all identifies, I set the local copy to primary. But then all the play counts are ‘zero’. Is there any way to carry this info over?
Albums sorted by most played is one of my most common views, so that causes a bit of an issue, but also would like to keep the play counts anyway (and favourite tracks …
I have a membership with Tidal, but after a trial month with qobuz I decided to unsubscribe from Tidal. I’m Lucky, I found on Qobuz 90 % of my Tidal Library. But how keep my play counts album, my favorites and playlists with my new Qobuz library?
“group alternate version” in the configuration of albums don’t merge this data
The addition of custom credits is fantastic, but it requires a lot of work, that I am happy to do…once. The problem is I have many albums in multiple versions, ie: Original Release, Digital Remaster, DSD etc etc…
So is there any way to copy ALL of the custom credits I have added form one album to another instead of having to re-enter them all for each copy of the album?
I have been fixing some corrupt albums lately and have been replacing old albums of lousy quality with better quality rips (back in the days storage was expensive).
The problem is that with every edit these albums show up as being “New” albums in Roon.
Since I’m using the sorting option “sort by date added” very often as the quickest way to get to my latest added music I would like the old album not to show up here since they are not “new” they are just replaced versions of what was already th…
It depends if the version you buy is exactly the same. I have replaced so much over last year and a lot kept that it had been played via Qobuz.
Bumping this to say I’ve got the same feature request. I evaluate new releases via Qobuz streaming and then purchase & download things I particularly like. It’s a real bummer to lose all my play counts when I switch to the new local version! It would also be nice if Roon could automagically switch to the local version in tags (I use a 2024 tag for all new releases, for example, and after purchasing & downloading an album I have to manually remove the Qobuz version from the tag and add the local version).

There are a bunch of open Feature Suggestions for this and related stuff. Add your vote
So there’s a feature in Roon where you can create playlists and add music to your library if adding from a streaming source such as tidal.
What happens if you’ve added a bunch of songs to your library and created playlists which consist of songs located on your nas, tidal, wherever and you decide that tidal is too expensive or they suddenly go out of business. If I had built a large library based off a streaming music service I think currently I would have to re-add all of those songs again to …

Oh LOL, I had already posted them
