Here are several reports of the same problem:
Hi @support ,
Like some others, I am having some issues with intermittent (but frequent) ‘no devices found’.
Version 1.3 (build 259) 64-bit
Windows 10 Home
Alienware 13 R3 laptop, i7-7700HQ, 16GB
Audioquest Dragonfly Red via USB
Music stored locally (only a few dozen tracks) on 512GB SSD or Tidal streaming
On most occasions Roon will show ‘no devices found’, this is the case regardless of whether the device is plugged in at startup, plugged in before loading Roon, or after loading Roon. Un…
Hi there,
I had a computer die and installed Roon on my new PC today. It’s the latest build (1.3; build 223/Windows x64), control/core/output. I’m just using the app on this PC; no remote connections of any kind. When I go to the audio tab and try to enable a connected device, the app gets stuck on loading and won’t finish. When I attempt to refresh, the entire connected section disappears. If I close Roon and reload, the connected section reappears again. I have the same device options on this…
Good morning all @support ,
I’m having problems with my Roon over the last couple of days, my 2 audio outputs on my pc won’t enable although they previously did. In the audio output settings both the System Output and then the usb DAC go through a constant cycle of “enabling” and then when they are unable to enable, dropping away from that list before starting again. Also and this is a bit odd, Roon seemingly completely disappeared from my PC on it’s own and I had to reinstall it. It’s at this…
Hi,
I have recently started to have an issue where everytime I try to open Roon all my audio sources and devices disappear. I am unable to see my Dragonfly Red even though I can still see it in the Windows sound settings and the Tidal Desktop App. Within the Roon app, I use my Dragonfly Red Dac with my Audeze iSine10 earphones. I have my Tidal HiFi account linked.
I have read some of the other support conversations and have tried many different options. I have tried to reinstall and update Roo…
It looks like Roon is not compatible with recent Asus motherboards and vendor’s Realtek drivers.
Possible solutions:
Removing RAATServer folder before starting Roon. Every time. Default folder location is: C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\RAATServer (need to turn on showing hidden folders in explorer options).
Switching off Realtek device in audio section in Device Manager (press Win + X).
Uninstall Realtek driver.
Keeping System Output not enabled in Roon settings (works for me yet, but I did some manipulations before - at least switched off/on Realtek device and uninstalled some asus software).
