Roon Server runs on a Merging Nadac streamer of 4 years old. Never had any issues.
I have no clue on how to access the RoonServer directory path on this system to follow the instructions mentioned in your article “Instructions for correcting connectivity issues (Search / Updates / Login / Tidal / Qobuz / KKBox) after updating to build 1382”.
I guess you may have to contact Merging. They certainly took enough of your money to let them keep their device updated and help you with the resulting issues if they don’t. Point them to the Roon Labs posts that I linked further up.
Or wait for Roon Labs support to enter this thread - they said in the above linked posts that they would work with affected users.
Thank you for your post. You can use the IP address of the Merging to access it like a NAS or network-shared location. You’ll need to use another desktop computer to access the network share location.
Using a Windows machine, open File Explorer and navigate to \IP_address\Data, and use Guest as the username and password. You should then see the RoonServer folder.
Using a Mac, open Finder and navigate to smb://IP_address/Data and use Guest as the username and password. You should then see the RoonServer folder.
where IP address is the local IP address for your Merging server on the network.
Once you’ve located the RoonServer location, then you can proceed from Step One in these instructions:
I recommend to take a backup in Roon app → Settings → Backups → Backup now
Then put the Merging Nadac in Maintenance:
Front Panel Display Interface → long push → Exit → Maintenance.
Then follow the instructions in the article.
Reboot the system by pushing the power button.
