Thanks RC.
I wonāt add this to the list (as it isnāt something Roon are currently acting upon). But it is feedback, and your post serves the purpose of informing users.
Personally, I prefer the indent, and have posted on that thread.
Thanks again RC.
For me, the responses from Roon in items 1 and 2 contain information on their design/functionality philosophy; in play before and beyond 1.8. I hope you understand I want to limit the list to specific changes Roon are working upon after the 1.8 release.
But as and when I have the time Iāll keep an eye on any further response from Roon about improvements that address specfic concerns from users in those topics.
Roon are addressing items 3 and 4; they have already been added to the list.

Issues resolved in (Build 763) update:

We are going to do something to walk this change back and restore the functionality.
We have not made a final decision on what it will look like exactly, but weāve read this thread and considered the use cases discussed here and they will be taken into account when designing it.
It shouldnāt take a very long time. 1.8 has been launched barely three daysāwe are just recovering from launch aftermath. It takes the community a couple of days to identify the high-profile stuff and get us the inforā¦
Appreciate all the feedback weāve heard on this, everyone.
Most Roon users donāt use tags and weād like to fix that, but itās clear the people who do use tags really need a fully-featured tool with the ability to add + remove in bulk.
We hear you. Weāre going to restore the previous functionality here, along with the ability to display track tags on the album screen.
Thanks all!
Throughout 1.8, we have made an effort to put lists of albums in the right order so the best stuff is firstāthe idea is, we donāt need this extra element in the interface to do something that is already captured in the sort order.
In any case, due to popular demand, we are planning to bring this back as an option.
It wasnāt intended to work this way.
You should be able to choose shuffle and get a random selection of music from your library, not just the beginning of the alphabet (or whatever your current sort mode is).
Thanks for flagging this everyone ā we appreciate the feedback and weāre working on a fix. It should be in the next release.
Yup, this is a bug
It should be fixed in our next release, thanks for the feedback here @KML !
I donāt think that 5000 tracks shuffle issue was resolved. Itās still 5000. And now from any screen, even from tags and genres.

Thanks for the feedback, @Oliver_Stettner ā Iāve passed this along to the team to look into further.
@Alexander_Bashlaev Thanks.
From what Iāve read the main issue has been resolved: the shuffle is now random and not just the first 5k tracks of the active sort.
If Roon responds with actionable feedback to the other concerns Iāll happily add it to the list.

andybob:
Itās pretty simple everyone. Before posting in this thread, ask yourself the following question:
Does my post link a new response by a Roon staff member to a 1.8 issue ?
If yes, post away.
If not, donāt post here. Your post will be deleted.
Repeating from upthread for visibility.

Apologies for the trouble, @Hazen !
We are aware of the issue here and are working to resolve it. Things should be working for you soon!
Tracks>Focus>Import Date>Not working as expected:
Weāre still working on Focus, so the latest changes havenāt gone live yet, but weāll have a look.
@RoonQA please have a look ā some of this is fixed, but Iām still seeing the Import Date heat map issues when comparing Albums vs Tracks.
Thanks for letting us know @Hazen !

Hey @SeanB ,
Thanks so much for taking the time to report this. And @Rory_Sharp as well.
This is something weāre looking into. While I cannot make any guarantees on if and when this will be changed, we do appreciate you sharing that having a better way to search for longer titles would help.
Thanks

Missing composer information in the notable compositions. A fix has been confirmed
Yeah, itās implied on the composer page but we should definitely be showing the composerās name when itās not part of the context.
Weāll get that fixed, thanks!
