Roon OS (Build 148) Release Notes

Roon OS is a custom Linux based operating system, tailored for running Roon Server and providing a best-in-class, appliance-type user experience to host the Roon Core. Roon OS updates are independent of Roon updates, just like updates to macOS or Windows are.

You can always confirm you are running the latest release by visiting Settings > About on any Remote. Roon OS version numbers only appear when your Roon Core is hosted on Roon OS.

Bug Fixes and Improvements in Roon OS Build 158:

  • Fixes for exFAT filesystem. Fixed new files or directories created in the root directory: ensure there are no 0x00 entries before valid ones; otherwise Windows can corrupt them. Also fixed handling of two last clusters: operations with files that occupy these clusters could fail.
